When I woke up this morning, I just couldn't push it. Normally, I am up and out of the bed by 5:15ish and ready to get my workout in to start my day. Here it is 6:15 and I’m staring at the ceiling!
For the past two days, my knees have been killing me. If you've been following for a while then you know that I have had patellar tendinitis and vestibular neuritis that have effect my mobility from time to time.
Anywho, it really had me down that I couldn't just push through. But then I heard a voice that reminded me that the race I am running toward health and wellness is a marathon not a sprint. Endurance and longevity are the goals. When you run a full marathon, no one expects you to run the entire 26 miles without a sip of water or a brief break to breathe. On life's journey we have to remember to apply the same thinking. We need the water breaks and stretch breaks, and breathers to make it through the marathon.
So today, I plan to break my normal walk down into smaller chunks but still get it done. I will still ride my bike but for a shorter time than I would normally. The goal is to be healthy and active, not to lift the gym and be in pain for the next two weeks and immobile.
Repeat after me: Life is a marathon, not a sprint!
What revelations have you had about your health and life that have helped to shift the way you do things?
XOXO,
MichelleRena

I’ve always been anemic and once I got older in recent years I picked up the craving eating ice all the time. I can literally go through 1 bag of ice in 3 days by myself. A couple months ago I became ill and my hands turned blue. Usually when I feel pain in my hands or they turn white I try to find something to warm my hands because they are throbbing with pain. Long story short I need a blood transfusion 🤦🏾♀️ I only had 6mg in my body. I became knowledgeable with my body and immediately I was started on iron pills. I’m very careful and I take my iron pills faithfully. I’m learn that things happen…
